Always an honour and a massive pleasure to play at DISKO AFRIKA, hands down the best party on Bali for 9 years running! So fun to delve deep into afro flavours of all styles….alongside Bali gem Kamau Abayomi and killer selectah Funny Kreaturz, it was high vibes allllll night!

J BOOGIE AT WATERBOM BALI!

BEATS, VIBES AND WATERSLIDES. An amazing event last weekend at Waterbom Bali, i had the honour of warming up the spot for San Fran musical maestro J Boogie. Great energy, music, dancers, venue, the whole shebang. Playing on turntables again was a highlight 😉 Let’s do it again!

MIX FOR RED BULL RADIO

A couple months ago the Red Bull Music Academy asked me to make a mix for their Alumni Mix Series on Red Bull Radio…which was lovely because I was pretty sure they had forgotten about me, being super OG alumni n’all 😂

I’ll never forget that morning a long time ago, in a Welligalaxy far far away, being woken up by my radio alarm one morning (Radio Active of course) as the DJ said “and congrats to Dj Flic, she’s off to Dublin for the Red Bull Music academy”. Actually fell out of bed.

I had zero expectations of getting into this magical place, I found out later that RMBA were so impressed with the entries from NZ, they ended up accepting 7 of us, when the intended quota was much lower.

Mad love to Fergus Murphy, Jimmy Costello, Donal Scannell, Aidan Kelly and the other organisers for getting me involved and into Europe, which is where I really wanted to be! It was such a magic experience, I never quite made it back home.

So i thought it called for a little Bali sunset inspired power hour, hope you enjoy ❤️🎶 i think it’s only on the site for a month, so i’ll add it to mixcloud soon.

Inspired by Gwen Guthrie and Larry Levan’s killer 80s record of the same name, SEVENTH HEAVEN is a weekly Sunday afternoon poolside SOUL PARTY session, with an evolving lineup of Bali’s finest soulful selectors.

Every Sunday, seven DJs will each have ONE HOUR to spin the best soul music they can muster, from rare groove to boogie, from disco to doo wop, from classics to obscurities, and most importantly – sunshine music for beautiful people.
